Overview

Our customer is a regional healthcare provider in England, responsible for commissioning and overseeing healthcare services across the region. It works to improve health outcomes, support healthcare providers, and ensure efficient resource allocation. The healthcare provider recognised the need for a more efficient and cost-effective invoice processing solution, so sought the help of DSP due to their longstanding relationship and expertise.

The Challenge

Our customer was facing significant challenges in their invoice processing operations, including inefficiency, high costs, and concerns about data privacy. The high levels of maintenance for their existing solution remained a concern, making it difficult to achieve affordability at their scale. To address these issues, they sought a cost-effective solution that could automate the process, reduce manual effort, and ensure data security. Additionally, they required a flexible system that could be customised to their specific workflow and requirements and to handle fluctuating invoice volumes, so they could continue to provide high-quality healthcare services.

The Solution

DSP implemented Document Understanding, a state-of-the-art AlaaS solution which automates invoice processing with exceptional accuracy. Document Understanding is built on a robust technology stack leveraging Microsoft Graph, OCI services, and Oracle APEX, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and guaranteeing data privacy and system uptime. DSP ensured a smooth transition and minimised disruption for our customer by integrating the solution seamlessly into their existing workflows. DSP also provided user training and comprehensive documentation to support the company's IT team. The scalable design allows our customer to handle the high invoice volume (+1200 per day) without compromising performance, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
