Fraud Detection Application
The Challenge
A customer was met with a dramatic increase in cases of financial fraud, the management of these cases was becoming increasingly difficult whilst using a cumbersome and ageing administrative tool. This led to a requirement for a Global Case Management Solution that could report on instances of financial fraud, whilst connecting several different investigative teams internally on a centralised platform. This would allow the customer to identify trends, predict future outcomes and allow users to have a holistic view of each case, ultimately simplifying the management process and enabling faster action/prioritisation for each instance. After looking at what was available on the market with off-the-shelf functionality, the customer realised the further value in working with a development partner in DSP to work with their financial crime team, helping to realise the vision for a bespoke solution.
The Solution

Development of an integrated, multi-team Financial Crime Case Management System

Providing APEX and PL/SQL development expertise. We have been integrated into a pre-existing team of financial crime systems developers and data scientists to help them shape the data design and UI and turn it into a working APEX application

Development of an interface using APEX report cards and plug-in Graph technology to visualise connections with financial crime intelligence
