Our customer is an NHS Foundation Trust, serving over 600,000 patients across the south of England. The NHS Foundation Trust partnered with DSP to migrate a critical financial report to Power BI, aligning it with the organisation's existing reporting infrastructure.
The NHS Foundation Trust's financial reporting process was hindered by a reliance on a QlikView report that was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain. It also didn't sync with the rest of the organisation which had consolidated around Power BI as the tool of choice. Additionally, the Trust's Power BI team was fully occupied with existing projects, limiting their capacity to undertake the migration. As a result, the Trust reached out to DSP to migrate the report from QlikView to Power BI and to ensure it included all the standard financial reporting, such as budget, balance sheets, and payroll.
DSP collaborated closely with the Trust's finance team to successfully migrate the financial report from QlikView to Power BI. Our team conducted a thorough analysis of the existing report, identifying the subject area, visuals and the business logic written into the report. We discovered and replicated the complex business logic, and through a collaborative and agile development process, simplified processes and migrated the report to Power BI. By leveraging Power BI's capabilities, we transformed the report into a dynamic, interactive tool for financial analysis and insights.
